| WHERE WE LIVE... My wife and I were both born in the same little town in North Central, Iowa, about 2 hours, North of Des Moines, the capital. We found each other in the clarinet section of Junior Band. We married in 1961. CAREER... Raising 4 daughters was our top priority. This took us down various roads, including farrowing and raising feeder pigs. Then we started a construction business. We did home remodeling, as well as, building complete new homes. We lived on an acreage and we desired to have a swimming pool for the girls. There was not a Pool Builder within a hundred miles. That led us into the swimming pool business, building in-ground and above-ground pools and spas. Somewhere along the way we caught the "restoration bug". It started with antique and classic cars and switched to boats when it was brought to my attention that boats from the '50's, '60's looked a lot like the cars of that era. And who doesn't love a beautiful wooden boat! However,we found it easier to collect projects than it was to get them restored. So...Now we have what we call "our collection". We do the restorations ourselves and as the years pass, we have realized we will not be able to finish what we started. "OUR COLLECTION" IS NOW FOR SALE.
