| According to my lovely wife and fellow collector, we have been collecting old wood, fiberglass and aluminum boats for over twenty years already. I was first attracted to classic cars at an early age . I have owned a '31 Model A. Dated my wife with that little cutie! Next was a 1956 Ford Victoria, '57 chevy convertible, '58 convertible, and 3 more '56 Fords. All of these I purchased for a few hundred dollars, fixed them up and sold them for not much more. For me, it was never about the money. It was always the challenge of the restoration, and the satisfaction of the project success that kept me intrigued. My boat collecting started when my son-in-law, knowing my interest/hobby with classic cars, brought me an old beat up boat. He pointed out to me that this old boat had a 1957 side view and a 1958 look from the rear. Well, that did it. I was hooked. There was a whole new world of collecting opened up to me.
